In case you do not have any time, many bookshops sell dictionaries, which can also help you learn the language. You could also avail several self-help books, which contain Spanish phrases and sentences with simultaneous English translations written at the bottom. There is the ever so trusted Internet where you can find loads of free tutorials on Google or yahoo. Teaching your self how to pronounce a word or reading a language is not the end of learning, though speaking Spanish should not be a problem since it is more based on phonetic. But, you can listen using Internet, too and there are webcasts and podcasts available and what’s great is that some sites will allow you to download it, all you have to do is just type your fingers away!

To learn a language properly there is nothing like listening to it so you should not just go along with the books as there are lots of materials to choose from to do this, like songs, movies and telenovels. Pictures are a great help since when you learn a Spanish word, you remember it better when you know what it appears like. If you have the financial resources as well as the time, there is no better way to learn a language than to be amidst people who communicate in that language all the time. If you already like their culture and country you should find speaking Spanish an easier task

Just don’t pressure yourself as you often find the harder you try, the more you will end up getting frustrated. Remember not just say the words when you are speaking Spanish but to use an accent as well - it will improve the sound.
