Certificate Program in Intrapreneurship

IFE is in development of its Intrapreneurship Certification. At this time, IFE is in collaboration with Craig Morningstar and Cyndi Laurin, Ph.D., authors of the training seminar Intrapreneurship: The Last Frontier for Global Competitive Advantage. These authors teach that intrapreneurship represents an untapped competitive advantage in the marketplace — the difference between survival and excellence.

Dr. Laurin has written: "Contemporary authors, speakers, coaches, and consultants have missed the target with intrapreneurs (and identifying, managing, and leveraging their talent) by misunderstanding the context in which they operate — not the setting or environment in which they work — but the full context that distinguishes an intrapreneur from an entrepreneur."

The certificate program focuses on the following issues:

  • How the intrapreneur identifies him- or herself
  • How their careers are managed
  • The challenges they face
  • The strategic methods they use to introduce creative and innovative ideas
  • The type of risk they balance with survival
  • The frustration they experience when their talents are not leveraged
  • The perceived threat they are to their managers and peers
  • The level of sabotage they endure

Intrapreneurs seek to achieve their highest level of satisfaction while leaving their indelible imprint on the organization. The Intrapreneurship Certificate offers an invitation to learning that reaches across all levels of personnel and leadership levels of existing companies to help foster and protect innovation, invention and agility.
